A couple of weeks ago we said goodbye to a family friend. A friend that had been a part of countless adventures we’ve been on as a family.
Ayrton (Ayrton Sienna, see what we did there?) has served our family well over the past decade, logging countless miles on countless escapades.
I know to many it may seem odd that we name our cars, and even odder that we reference them as friends…but that’s just something car people do.
More than just a means to get us from point A to point B; Ayrton has been a vehicle of connection, adventure and whimsy for us as a family.
From the mundane to the magical, the celebratory to the painful…Ayrton experienced our laughter and tears, our joys and our fears.Yet in the end, Ayrton was just a vehicle. Something that connected and carried us to something more.
We have that opportunity as people as well, to be a vehicle in the lives of others. We can transport them to peace and hope through our care and presence. We can transport them to joy and life through our attitude and interactions.
We can transport them to the goodness of God through our love and affection.Choose this week to be a vehicle for others to experience beauty in life. And if we can be a vehicle to you…we are always around!
And thank you Ayrton, for all of the miles and smiles throughout the years
.PS. We also welcomed a new friend into the family along the way, our German friend Seb… A Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport.
It is one thing to posses an automotive passion, it is another to recognize those passions are deeply enhanced when we share them with others.
The spec on this Ferrari SF90 is simply brilliant. If given the opportunity to spec one out myself, I do not believe I could have done a better job.
My middle cluster/computer went out as of two days ago. It is now darkness in the middle.
